Shipping Policy – Let’s Talk Militaria UK

1. General Shipping Information

At Let’s Talk Militaria UK, we take great care in packaging and dispatching all orders securely to ensure they arrive safely and in excellent condition.

By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms outlined in this Shipping Policy.

All shipping rates displayed at checkout are calculated based on destination, weight, packaging requirements, and carrier costs.


2. Processing Time

  • Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 2–3 working days after payment is received.

  • High-value, fragile, or specialist items may require additional preparation time to ensure secure packaging.

  • Orders are not dispatched on weekends or UK public holidays.


3. Domestic (UK) Shipping

All UK orders are shipped using fully tracked services via Royal Mail, Parcelforce, or approved courier partners.

Primary Service:

  • LTM Tracked 48 (2–3 Working Days)

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by external factors such as postal delays, adverse weather, or operational disruption.

Signature on delivery may be required for high-value orders.


4. International Shipping

We ship internationally where legally permitted. Customers are responsible for ensuring that purchased items are legal to import into their destination country.

International orders are sent using tracked services via Royal Mail, Parcelforce, or courier partners where required.

Shipping rates are calculated based on total packed weight and destination and are displayed at checkout.

Estimated Delivery Times:

  • Europe: 5–10 working days

  • USA & Canada: 7–14 working days

  • Australia & New Zealand: 7–21 working days

  • Rest of World: 7–21 working days

Delivery times are estimates and may be extended due to customs processing or local postal services.

Heavier international parcels may be sent via Parcelforce or courier services to ensure safe delivery.


5. Shipping Rates & Weight-Based Pricing

All shipping charges are calculated using a weight-based pricing system that includes packaging and handling.

Product weights in our system reflect packed weight (item plus protective packaging). For multiple-item orders, weights are combined automatically.

International shipping is charged in the following bands:

  • Up to 1.5kg

  • 1.5kg to 5kg

  • 5kg to 10kg

  • Over 10kg (manual review)

Orders exceeding standard weight limits may be subject to manual shipping quotes.


6. Customs, Duties, Taxes & Release Fees

Buyers are fully responsible for all customs-related charges in the destination country, including but not limited to:

  • Import duties

  • VAT or sales tax

  • Customs clearance fees

  • Administrative or brokerage fees

  • Handling, inspection, or storage fees

  • Any charges required to release the parcel from customs

If customs authorities or courier services require payment in order to release or deliver a shipment, these costs must be paid by the customer directly.

Let’s Talk Militaria UK has no control over these charges and cannot estimate them in advance.

Failure to pay required customs or release fees may result in delays, return, or seizure of the parcel. In such cases, no refund will be issued.

We do not falsify customs declarations under any circumstances.


7. Packaging & Handling

All items are securely packaged using appropriate protective materials.

Depending on the nature of the item, packaging may include:

  • Reinforced boxes

  • Bubble wrap and void fill

  • Double-boxing for fragile or valuable items

  • Protective internal supports

Packaging and handling costs are included within our shipping rates.


8. Signature & Delivery Confirmation

For security reasons, selected orders may require signature on delivery, particularly for high-value items.

If delivery is attempted and no recipient is available, the courier may leave a collection notice or arrange redelivery.

Let’s Talk Militaria UK is not responsible for parcels left in unsecured locations by couriers.


9. Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Shipments

If a parcel is delayed, customers are advised to wait for the full estimated delivery period before contacting us.

If a shipment is confirmed as lost by the carrier, we will assist with submitting a claim. Refunds or replacements are issued only after official confirmation from the courier.

Damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, with photographic evidence provided.

We are not responsible for non-delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete address details supplied by the customer.


10. Returns Due to Failed Delivery

If an order is returned to us due to:

  • Incorrect address

  • Unpaid customs, duties, or release fees

  • Failure to collect

  • Refused delivery

The customer will be responsible for all return and reshipping costs.

If reshipment is declined, a refund will be issued minus original shipping and handling charges.


11. Oversize and Heavy Orders

Orders exceeding standard weight limits or requiring specialist courier services may be subject to manual shipping assessment.

Customers will be contacted if additional charges apply before dispatch.

The version published on our website at the time of purchase will apply to all orders.
